The materials on this site, including copyrighted material, service marks, trademarks, and trade names, are owned by Pensio. Using any materials from this site is prohibited; however, may print or download a reference copy for your own personal or non-commercial use provided that you do not remove our copyright, trademark or other legal notices. Any other modification or use of the materials on this site violates proprietary rights.



The Rent Guarantee programs are not insurance as it is not triggered by any specific insurance peril. Pensio’s risk management programs may be supported by a performance-linked surety. Please confirm with Pensio if the location of your asset is an eligible location.

If you are not the intended recipient, any use, copying disclosure, dissemination or distribution is strictly prohibited. We are committed to protecting the personal privacy and security of individual or company or business who enters into our structured risk management programs primarily for residential and commercial rental properties (“Client”). While information is the cornerstone of our ability to provide you with superior service, we realize that our most important asset is your trust. Therefore, we have implemented strict privacy and security policies on our websites to ensure that no personal identifying information about individual clients is accessible to the public. Depending on the type of structured risk management program offered to Clients, we might obtain personal information about the Client and, if applicable, the company. This information may be submitted to us electronically via our website or through email conversations. Depending upon your location, this information could include zip code, postal code investment property addresses and employment. Additional information about you may be submitted to us if you enter into a contract with Pensio.  As permitted by law, we may confirm the information you provide through consumer reporting agencies, publicly available records, appraisals, or investigatory sources.


We do not sell any Consumer information to third parties. If you enter into structured risk management program with Pensio, we may share information about you with the following:​

  • Any of our affiliated companies who provide service to you;

  • Surety companies;

  • Insurance regulatory or government authorities as required by law;

  • Law, enforcement agencies to protect our interest or to report illegal activities;

  • In response to a valid legal subpoena or court order; and

  • Persons or organizations conducting actuarial or other statistical studies.

  • We reserve the right to provide aggregate statistics about our clients, sales, traffic patterns and related site information to reputable third-party vendors. Still, these statistics will not include any personally identifying information about our clients. We reserve the right to amend this privacy notice from time to time. If a material change is made to our privacy policy, our website’s changes will be posted conspicuously and accessible to our website visitors. The effective date of this online privacy policy is August 10th, 2023.


Paperless Document Delivery Agreement

Please read your contract with Pensio closely, and we strongly encourage you to seek independent professional and legal advice prior to entering into any agreement with Pensio. 


Refund Policy

Pensio does not provide program fee refunds, other than required by law.

Privacy Statement

By agreeing to this Privacy Consent, you consent to us; Pensio Purchase Power (Canada) Corporation, a Canada-registered company, and Pensio Risk Management Corp. registered Nevada, United States registered company (collectively “Pensio” for the purpose of this Privacy Statement) the entities identified in this consent, using, holding and disclosing personal and credit information about you. You can find out more about how we deal with your privacy by viewing our privacy policy. If you do not provide us with consent or provide us with your personal information we will not be able to provide you with services.

Pensio or the licensed agent taking your application may collect, use, hold and disclose personal and credit information about you for the purposes of arranging or providing the Pensio Power Deposit Services Guarantee to you, managing and administering the Pensio Power Deposit Services Guarantee, investigating or managing any demand or claim in relation to the Pensio Power Deposit Services Guarantee, direct marketing or products and services by us and managing our relationship with you. Credit Information includes the type and amount of credit provided to you, default information (including overdue payments), and court information. Personal Information includes any information from which your identity is apparent.

You may gain access to the personal information that we hold about you by contacting us. Our privacy policy contains information about how you may access or seek correction of your personal information and credit information, how we manage that information, and our complaints process. It also contains information on “notifiable matters” including things such as the information we use to access your creditworthiness, what happens if you fail to meet your credit obligations or commit a serious credit infringement, your right to request that credit reporting bodies (CRBs) not use your credit information for the purpose of pre-screening credit offers, and your right to request a CRB not to use or disclose credit information about you if you believe you are a victim of fraud.


Consumer And Commercial Credit Information

We may exchange your commercial and consumer credit information with the entities listed below to assess an application for consumer or commercial credit and manage that credit. In particular, we can obtain credit information about you from a CRB providing both customer and commercial credit information.


Exchange Information With Credit Providers

We may exchange personal and credit information with credit providers for the purpose of assessing your creditworthiness, credit standing, and credit history or credit capacity.


Exchange Information With Guarantors

We may exchange your personal and credit information with any person who proposes to guarantee or has guaranteed payment of any debt owed to us by you of any products we have provided to you.


Exchange Information

We may exchange personal and credit information with the following types of entities, some of which may be located overseas:​

  • Finance brokers, mortgage managers, and persons who assist us to provide our products to you.

  • Financial consultants, accountants, lawyers, and advisers.

  • Any industry body, tribunal, court or otherwise in connection with any complaint regarding the approval or management of your Pensio Power Deposit Services Guarantee for example if a complaint is lodged about us or the related parties.

  • Loss assessors, claims investigators, reinsurers, or other insurance companies.

  • Any person where we are required by law to do so.

  • Any of our associates, related entities, or contractors.

  • Your referees, such as your employer, verify the information you have provided.

  • Any person considering acquiring an interest in our business or assets.

  • Any organization providing online verification of your identity.

  • Sellers, Vendors,  Real Estate Agents, Lender


Customer Identification

We may disclose personal information about you to an organization providing verification of your identity, including online verification of your identity. We may exchange your personal and credit information with the following credit reporting bodies:

  • TransUnion (Canada-USA)

  • Equifax (Canada-USA)

  • Credit Reporting Agencies (Canada-USA)

Important Facts

  • You must answer all questions truthfully. Ambiguous or incomplete answers may jeopardize the approval of your Application. We may ask you for further information relating to this Application.

  • In Canada, the Pensio Power Deposit Services Guarantee (Guarantor) provides the payment payable under the Pensio Power Deposit Services Guarantee. Any agent arranging a Pensio Power Deposit Services Guarantee on behalf of the Guarantor may receive a commission.

  • In the United States, a licensed insurance broker provides the payment payable under the Pensio Power Deposit Services Guarantee for and on behalf of Pensio Risk Management Corp. Any licensed insurance agent arranging a Pensio Power Deposit Services Guarantee on behalf of the Guarantor may receive a commission.

  • You must read and understand the terms printed on the Pensio Power Deposit Services Guarantee as soon as it is issued to you and the party guaranteed on your behalf. If you are not satisfied with the wording printed on the Pensio Power Deposit Services Guarantee (“Guarantee Wording”) you must return the original Pensio Power Deposit Services Guarantee to Pensio Purchase Power (Canada) Corp, if you live in Canada or to the licensed insurance agent who issued you the Pensio Power Deposit Services Guarantee if you live in the United States within 14 days of an issue for a partial refund (see the section titled “Refund Policy” below). If you do not notify us within the 14-day period, you will be deemed to have accepted the Guarantee Wording.

  • We advise that you show the Application (including the Counter Indemnity), and the Guarantee Wording to a professional advisor or attorney.
